Regardless of the outcome, Anthony Joshua will be paid more than champion Andy Ruiz Jr for this Saturday’s boxing rematch billed for Saudi Arabia.

Joshua will get more despite being the challenger. The Daily Mail reports that AJ will earn a staggering $88m unlike Ruiz Jr. who will pocket $10m.

Ruiz was paid $7 million when he defeated Joshua to win the titles in June. Joshua on his part earned $35 million despite losing his WBC, IBF and WBA titles.

Regardless, the two purses combined will be the fourth biggest fight purse in boxing history.
