Just in: Lagos assembly threatens to arrest Ambode, four ex-commissioners ON OCTOBER 10, 2019 Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday threatened to issue a warrant of arrest on the former governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode and four others who served under the ex-governor as commissioners. This decision followed two preliminary reports presented by two different ad-hoc committees set up by the House to investigate the 820 buses purchased by Ambode and to appraise the 2019 mid year budget. The former commissioners involved include, Kazeem Adeniji, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olusegun Banjo, Commissioner for Budget, Akinyemi Ashade, Commissioner for Finance and Wale Oluwo, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources. What I see these days is training the "butty"(aje butter) way which gets me scared of what will happen in the next 10-15 years. I see eight year olds who don't bother to lay their beds. I see 10 year olds served by the maid or "caring mum" on the table and they either don't pack the table or they just dump the plates in the kitchen for the maid or "caring mum" to wash. Drivers carry the bags of children above 5 years and the children call them "my driver".
